Boscia Luminizing Black Mask.  Georgeous looking product that feels like a chemical peel.  I found this all-natural black mask tough to peel!

The Story:

My usual brand of peel off mask was discontinued.  In fact, this was the second time around.  What was happening?  Most peel off masks were discontinued due to strict Canadian regulations.  At least that’s what the sales girls tell me.  They have been discontinued but few have been replaced.  So I have been searching for a mask since.

My Experience:

Putting on the black mask went better than I had anticipated.  I had prepared myself for a really messy undertaking as though I was dying my hair at the sink. It was actually easy to put on.  The goop was not sticky and was very easy to control.  I got a little on the sink but it didn’t stain the sink and wiped off clean.  As the black mask dried I didn’t feel any discomfort.  Sometimes you can feel your face tightening up because all the moisture is being sucked out of your face.  But not this time.

The peeling part was bad.  As you can see in the picture, the tug on the mask was so strong it pulled my lips with it.  It also left my face, especially my cheeks, raw. This must be what a chemical peel feels like!  I had to wait 45mins for the stinging to die down before I could put on some cream.

If you do try this product, I would suggest putting on a thin layer to avoid peeling your face off.  This mask is around $40CAD should you choose to try it.

How did the Boscia Luminizing Black Mask perform?  On a positive note, my face was not drained of moisture.  My face was smooth.  It did peel off all the dead skin and then some.  But this it did not luminize my skin.  As a face treatment, I expect more. This gave the same results as a good cleanser.
